Chester Bible Focus came into being in 1992 as a result of several evangelical ministers and church leaders expressing a common concern and deep desire to bring Bible Exposition to Christians living within easy reach of Chester.
It is a member of the Keswick Fellowship, an informal association of similar bible events, under the banner of Keswick Ministries, and shares its priorities: hearing God’s Word, becoming like God’s Son and serving God’s mission.
The aim of Chester Bible Focus is to provide a short, but in depth series of Bible Expositions given by noted speakers, normally over a Tuesday and Wednesday evening in the Spring and the Autumn. The expositions will be unashamedly ambitious, whilst at the same time relating and applying God’s Word to our lives for today’s world.
Typically the evening will begin with a short time of musical worship, followed by two presentations with an interval for refreshments. At the end there is opportunity for questions.
A list of previous speakers can be found here.
A charge is made of £3 per night, or £5 for 2 nights. The meetings start at 7:30 p.m. and the usual venue is All Saints Church, Hoole, but see the details for each event as this may vary.
In addition there are occasional free one off evenings on subjects that may be of interest to our followers.
The members of the organising committee are: Norman Goodwin, John Kirkland, Phil Roberts (Treasurer), Kate Tabb & Colin Waker.
